In 1999, Scot gave up a career as an architect to devote himself to his art. Although he has received broad recognition and many awards as a painter, he took particular pride in winning the millennium Pheasant Stamp contest for the state of Minnesota. As he strives to expand his portfolio, Scot has worked closely with Pheasants Forever, Ducks Unlimited, the Danbury Mint art collection and Apple Creek Publishing.
