Carol Jessen
The hustle and bustle of city streets - from small to large - reflects the fast pace of the urban environment. Be it Asia, Europe or the Americas, Carol Jessen shares with us the universally understood metropolitan lifestyle. Each image brings together complementary angles and shapes, much like the urban elements that come together to form the cities she portrays. Upon closer inspection, you will see Carol's graphic lines created with a sense of purposefulness. Her electrifying colors radiate with a vitality all of their own. Use these strong colors to accent almost any part of your home. They will work well in a room filled with many colors, or as a contrast to a black and white motif. The sophistication speaks for itself.
BIO
In addition to attending the Academy of Art in San Francisco, Carol studied at the Arts Student League and also lived in Japan while studying Japanese woodblock printing. Her interest in travel is evident in the wide range of places depicted in her work. Now an established artist in San Francisco, Carol has lectured on printmaking at Stanford University, San Francisco's Asian Art Museum and the California Palace of the Legion of Honor and her work hangs in museum and gallery collections across the country.
