Pride Of The Cheyenne - Mother And Baby By Howard Terpning

By Howard Terpning

Pride of the Cheyenne by Howard Terpning.

The "Pride of the Cheyenne" are their children and in this painting, a Cheyenne woman proudly holding the baby in a cradle board is depicted. The challenge was to include the busy and striking patterns of the baby's cradle-board without distracting from the proud, determination shown in the woman's face. The dress was purposely kept simple instead of painting a traditionally elaborate Cheyenne dress.

Pride of the Cheyenne by Howard Terpning was published in December of 1988 and is available for sale as a signed and numbered limited edition print with a 24-1/2 x 17-1/2 vertical image size priced for sale at $450 unframed. LAST ONE!
