The Cache - Apache American Indians By Howard Terpning

By Howard Terpning

The Cache by Howard Terpning

Indians and trappers alike would sometimes hide equipment, furs and supplies in caves, underground pits or any other place that they felt would be safe from their enemy. Many times they either were traveling on foot or had too few horses to carry all their goods so this was a method of protecting supplies until they could return at a later date and retrieve them. These Apache Indians are hiding their plunder in a hold in the side of a hill which they will then cover up until such time as they return for their goods.

The Cache - Apache American Indians by Howard Terpning was published in September of 1985 and is available for sale as a signed and numbered limited edition print with a 25-1/2 x 17-5/8 vertical image size priced for sale at $345 unframed.
