This image was commissioned by the Louisiana Wildlife Federation. It shows a mature whitetail buck moving through the swamps in the Bayou country of the deep south. In typical Sieve fashion we have hunters deer stand in the distance, and if you notice last season the hunter hung some branches near the stand to break up his silhouette. Whitetail deer can adapt to almost any environment and are located throughout most of the United States. The green of the Bayou Swamps make for the perfect setting for a Mike Sieve painting.
