"One of the things I love about Florida is never knowing what might be lurking around the next corner. During a recent trip to the Florida Keys, I happened to be clambering about amongst some mangroves when I came across this snowy egret, wading through foam. I was intrigued by the cool lilac colors in the plumage of the egret, subtly contrasted against the warm tones of the foam. I also liked the way the sunlight filtered through the foam, creating a translucent effect. Despite his annoyed expression, he wasn't bothered by my presence, allowing me to observe him for ages." - Matthew Hillier
