Mooney Shaugabay Warroad Hockey Stick Framing

We are honored to have been able to frame Mooney Shaugabay's hockey stick that scored the game winning overtime goal in the 2026 Minnesota State championship game.

Senior forward Mooney Shaugabay, point No. 3 of the triangle, wore the hero’s cape after he scored one minute into overtime to give the No. 3-seeded Warriors a 5-4 upset victory over No. 1 Hibbing/Chisholm/VCA in the Class A championship game on Saturday, March 6 at Grand Casino Arena. The winner completed a stunning reversal of fortune for the Warriors (25-5-1), who led by two goals in the third period, saw the advantage disappear amid the onslaught of a three-goal power surge by the Bluejackets (26-3-2) and then had to dig deep for a goal in the final minute of regulation just to force overtime.

The end result of the topsy-turvy championship bout was Warroad’s first Class A crown since 2005. It is Warroad’s fifth state title. The Warriors are also eight-time state runners-up.
